GOOD WEEK FOR DARK ANGEL
(24 Jun 2012)
Dark Angel had another solid week on the track with both his 2yo's and 3yo's. With Royal Ascot the main event for the week, Dark Angel was well represented.
On the first day, the Yeomanstown Stud bred 2yo colt Alhebayeb, was second in the Windsor Castle Stakes for Richard Hannon and owner Hamdan Al Maktoum. After missing the break, the imposing grey flew through the field to hit the front with only fifty yards to go only to be headed late. A great run on only his second start and is surly a top class colt in the making.
Another good runner for Dark Angel was Bronze Angel, who was 3rd in the Britannia Handicap for Marcus Tregonning and Haley Turner. A very solid effort especially as hw was drawn on the wrong side of the track.
Lethal Force finished 4th in the Gr.3 Jersey Stakes for clive Cox and Gabriel finished a creditable 5th in the Gr.1 St. James Place.
A lot of good performances without a winner but thankfully one was just around the corner!
His 2yo Boomshakerlaker won on his 2nd start for George Baker at Newmarket. A 65,000gns yearling sold by Yeomanstown Stud to Angie Loader, he is a horse with a lot of scope and class and will progress very well.
All in all another good week for Dark Angel and all his supporters.
