DARK ANGEL'S 3YO'S CONTINUE TO FIRE (23 Apr 2012) Dark Angel is continuing to have great success on the track as his 3yos are preforming superbly so far this season. With a classic trial winner already this year, his daughter Lily's Angel was a gallant 3rd in the Gr.3 Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket last week after enduring a very difficult trip during the race. She will now go to the 1,000 Guineas and her never say die attitude will hopefully see her run a great race. Lethal Force then broken his maiden by ten lengths for his trainer Clive Cox and after finishing fourth in the Gr.2 Coventry stakes and Gr.2 Vintage Stakes last season, he is surely destined for big things this season. On sunday Dark Angel had 2 runners in the Listed Louchbrown Stakes and he came very close to winning it as his daughter Coolnagree trained by William McCreery was out gunned by the colt Requisition after travelling really well through out the contest. His son Tough As Nails was 4th and is now going to drop back in trip and will hopefully reach the Gr.1 heights that he achieved as a 2yo. While Coolnagree is improving constantly and should win at stakes and even group level in time. Lastly on Tuesday the 3yo filly Lady Arabella won with consumate ease on her first start of the season for Alistair Lidderdale. This was her maiden victory and she should be capable of winning more races for her connections. All in all a very good few weeks for Dark Angel's stock. Let's hope that he continues to get stacks of winners and all his supporters will be well rewarded.
